My Influence Map

Those thing have real influence on my creative work.

First of all, that's Star Wars universe. Especially everything about the Force and force-sensitives. Can't say more because as a fan I think about it like about something trivial.

The next is anime with very original and even wild ideas. They help to broaden outlook and present many distinctive conceptions and designs. The most influential of my favorites are Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka 7, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Mononoke-hime, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Hellsing, The Garden of Sinners, Ghost in the Shell, Elfen Lied, Final Fantasy VII.

Movies with interesting demonstrative and impressive action are the next in my list. (Sci-fi, superheroic movies, trillers, some fantasy) Recently with the progress of CG such movies became widespread. And though they afford more pleasure with fine story, you always can find some interesting and useful things. I have presented only some examples, not all of my favorite.

Next are PC games, mostly RPG with shooter/action mode. BioWare games are the most striking examples. I like them for accurate and great story lines, interesting unusual ideas, harmonious designs and combination of styles. There are sci-fi universe of Mass Effect and fantasy world of classical RPG Dragon Age. (I wont say about KOTOR and other Star Wars games because I've already said about this universe in general) I would like to make mention of Witcher, S.T.A.L.K.E.R with 'native' soviet industrial postapocalyptic atmosphere, and about parallel to it postnuclear retrofuturistic American atmosphere of Fallout 3.

Also I take many ideas and inspiration from nature and science. That's why I like Discovery, Explorer and Nature channels together with my love to 'real' wild nature.

Next is human body, it's anatomy and abilities that can be exposed with various kinds of sports. I find very interesting such natural sports like parkour, athletics and eastern martial arts.

And the last but not the least is DeviantArt. Some people like *raikoh14, *Daennika, ~The-First-Magelord and *ElTheGeneral gave me a lot of inspiration in the creation of my new digital style during this year. With artworks of Magelord and General I started to pay much more attention to anatomy and understood the first principles of digital drawing. With WIP of Daennika's pictures I began to organize my own creation process. And with pictures of Raikoh I started to pay attention to colors and experiment with lighting.
